Greenwich, CT, Hemlock Hedge Recovers from Winter Salt Damage

From 2006 to 2009, this Greenwich, CT, USA,  Hemlock Hedge lived in co-existence and balance with the Woolly Adelgid insect after an initial treatment and tune-up treatments from Dr. Jim Conroy’s hands-on bioenergy healing methods.  it remained healthy, green, and strong.  Please see Hemlock Hedge & Woolly Adelgid for that story.

In 2010, the Hemlock Hedge was effected by winter salt damage.   Salt crystals sprayed by the salt truck on the road to melt the snow, landed on the Hemlock Hedge.  The salt melted.  It burned the leaves and went into solution on the soil.

By April, 2010, the Hedge was looking very sick from the burned leaves and from up-taking the salty water by its roots.  The homeowner, Sabine,  called Dr. Jim!

In about one month’s time, the Hemlock Hedge put on abundant new growth–all without the use of any products whatsoever.  Sabine, the homeowner, is careful to follow Dr. Jim’s directions.  He told her to watch for signs of growth on the hedge.

As the trees of the hedge were regaining their health, their new growth was bright green.  This attracted local landscapers and arbortists who wanted to know what happened.  Sabine explained to them that the growth did not involve any products; it was just Dr. Jim’s holistic treatment.

Dr. Jim returned on May 27th to check on the progress.  He consulted with the trees of the hedge.  He was told that in another month–on June 25th–the trees of the hedge would benefit from a very light application of organic compost.  He told Sabine, and she followed the hedge’s instructions.

Dr. Jim is not against the use of products.  He feels that products should only be used after a tree or plant has regained the proper flow of inner functionality and started to grow again.
